We are also only a short drive from beautiful sandy beaches with the warmest waters north of the Carolinas and world class golf courses. Only a 10 minute drive away is the Lower Bedeque School where Lucy Maud Montgomery held her first teaching position. If you enjoy great music then why not attend one of the concerts at the Indian River Festival which are held in the beautiful St. Mary’s Church with its world renowned acoustics. For those visitors that enjoy antique hunting or shopping for crafts there are many stores and studios close by. We are just a 2 minute stroll from Thomson’s woodcraft and only minutes away from Bedeque Craft Centre where you will find PEI handcrafted items by over 60 island artisans. It is the largest centre of its kind in Atlantic Canada. Historic Charlottetown, our provincial capital is only a 40 minute drive away where you can follow in the footsteps of the Fathers of Confederation by visiting Founders Hall and Province House National Historic Site or enjoy many of the other attractions this great city has to offer.
